The Toronto Raptors are a Canadian professional basketball team based in Toronto, Ontario. The Raptors compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA), as a member club of the league’s Eastern Conference Atlantic Division.

Since their inception in 1995, the Raptors have made the playoffs eight times (2000, 2001, 2002, 2007, 2008, 2014, 2015 and 2016), advancing past the first round twice (2001 and 2016). The Raptors have won the Atlantic Division four times (2007, 2014, 2015 and 2016), and the franchise record number of wins in the regular season is 56 (2016). The Raptors advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals only once (2016). Five Raptors have been selected to play in the All-Star game: Vince Carter, Antonio Davis, Chris Bosh, DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry.
